Visa Application |

Travelling to China requires a visa stamped on a full passport with validity of no less than 6 months upon entry to China . You will be required to apply for a student visa if the duration of your stay is longer than 30 days. For people who are planning to enter China more than once, a multi-entry visa is required.

Documents required for visa application: |

| |
- A valid passport for at least six months from the date of travel with at least one entire unused page for visa stamped
- A completed visa application form
- Two passport photos
- An admission letter from the school is needed, if your stay is longer than 30 days, for student visa

How to apply: |
|
| |
- You may apply your visa personally at the Chinese embassy or consulate in your area or through travel agents.
- The process normally takes 5 business days.
- For single entry the cost is about US$50, please check with your Chinese embassy or consulate.

Extension of visa: |
|
| |
If you need to stay beyond the original visa limit you will need to do the following: |

- Documents of your valid passport, visa and certificate of residence registration
- A completed visa extension application form
- Materials supporting the reasons for extension (i.e. a letter from the school explain the duration of your program)
- Submit the extension at the municipal public security bureau seven days before your visa expires.
You will be asked to show that you have adequate financial supports of your extended stay in the form of traveler cheques, bank statement etc.
The multiple entry visas cannot be extended. |
